The Blue Anchor in Helston have very kindly given me the great honour and pleasure of organising a singaround session every Thursday. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun. Bring your instrument, your voice or just your ears. All instruments and body parts welcome! We start at 8pm and those arriving earliest get the best seats at the table. If you’ve only brought your ears you’ll be expected to give up your seat for anyone arriving with instruments and prepared to use them. We generally go around the table giving everyone an opportunity to start us off on a song or tune, or tell a joke or a story or initiate some form of entertainment. Each week has guest hosts of 2,3 or 4 people who may be a tightly rehearsed group or a collection of hapless, talented individuals I’ve thrown together for the evening. Having different people to host each week ensures that it’s not the same songs, tunes and faces every week. If that’s what you like then come see the hosts you like most.
